Welcome to the Village of Stockbridge, Wisconsin!

 

The Village of Stockbridge is located along the east shore of Lake Winnebago about 20 miles north of the City of Fond du Lac and 15 miles south of the City of Appleton.  While we are a small community, less than 700 residents, the Village has a lot to offer.

 

Consider the excellent public school system, stunning and pisturesque parks and recreation areas, a first rate Fire Department and First Responders Unit, and over 2.5 square miles of vacant developable land.

 

New marina facilities provide direct access to Lake Winnebago for fishing, boating, and other water related activities.  The Village recently completed a long range land use plan and zoning ordinance to accomodate new residential, commercial, and industrial development, all readily served with public sanitary sewerage and water supply facilities.

 

So if you are looking for a friendly, safe and affordable community to raise your family or start a new business venture, consider the Village of Stockbridge.

VILLAGE OFFICE HOURS

 

Monday - Thursday 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. (closed during lunch hour)

 

Exceptions due to offsite meetings, election related duties, trainings, illness or vacation will be noted on the front door & on voicemail.

 

If a resident or business owner would require a meeting at another time with the Clerk, outside of these posted hours, please call 439-1700 to schedule an appointment and that will be accommodated.

 

TAX COLLECTION & HOLIDAYS:

Christmas Eve:  8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Christmas:  CLOSED

Monday (12/28) - Wednesday (12/30):  8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

New Year's Eve (12/31):  7:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.

OVERNIGHT PARKING RESTRICTIONS

 

Reminder that parking citations will be issued on vehicles parked on Village Streets between the hours of 2:30 a.m. - 6:30 a.m. from November 15th through March 31st

SNOW MOBILE TRAIL REMINDERS

 

Be courteous trail riders and stay on all marked trails. Refrain from riding the snow pile that accumulates on the west side of the gas station when trails are open.

SUMP PUMP DISCHARGE

 

Disconnect sump pump discharges that flow to the street or alley and redirect onto your own property between November 1st  - April 1st.

No cross connections into the sanitary sewer is permitted per Ordinance - Chapter 32.

CLEAR HYDRANTS OF SNOW

 

Please refrain from blowing snow on top of the hydrant near your home or business and keep it free from snow during the winter months.

TAX BILL REMINDERS

REMINDER: THE ACTUAL TAX BILLS ARE GENERATED, PRINTED AND MAILED DIRECTLY FROM THE CALUMET COUNTY TREASURER'S OFFICE.  THEY ARE TYPICALLY MAILED BY THE SECOND WEEK OF DECEMBER.

OCTOBER

4th - OCTOBERFAST 5K RUN/WALK sponsored by Stockbridge PTO

The Stockbridge PTO is once again organizing a 5K Run/Walk for the entire family to enjoy.  You can sign up at the Stockbridge School Office or print off the form from the PTO Facebook page and send in the registration with the appropriate sign-up fee.

 

9th - 11th    RURAL ARTS ROAD TRIP

Enjoy a weekend in October travelling the scenic roads of Calumet County!  Go on the self-guided tour of over 80+ handmade artists respresenting on of a kind arts such as:  stained glass, jewelry, handwoven apparel, upcycled furniture, paintings and much more!  There are also stops along the way to share in the unique culinary offerings of the East Shores of Lake Winnebago.  Check out their website at www.ruralartsroadtrip.com.

 

31st -     TRICK OR TREATING & COSTUME CONTEST sponsored by Stockbridge Fire Department & Stockbridge Lions Club

Stockbridge's tradition is to always hold trick or treating on Halloween!  Participating homes should put on porch lights.  Ghosts & goblins will be out from 5 - 7 p.m., with a costume contest at Fire Station to follow.

 

NOVEMBER

 

14th - STOCKBRIDGE SCHOOLS ANNUAL CRAFT FAIRE sponsored by the Stockbridge PTO

Located in the Middle & High School gymnasiums from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.  Great variety of 80+ arts & crafts vendors!  If you are interested in being a vendor, contact Joanne at 439-1487.

 

FEBRUARY

 

13th - OPENING DAY OF STURGEON SPEARING SEASON

Participate in this time honored tradition by obtaining your license from the DNR by October 31st.  If you or someone you know rents shanties for the spearing season on Lake Winnebago, please send the contact information to Ryan Koenigs at ryan.koenigs@wisconsin.gov.  Shanty rental information is very popular (and helpful) to first time spearers.

 

16th - FEBRUARY PRIMARY ELECTION

The polling place for the Village residents registered voters is at the Community Hall (attached to the Fire Station) at 175 S. Military Rd.  All pertinent election information can be found on Elections Tab.

 

MARCH

 

5th - STURGEON BANQUET

Join the camaraderie that on the Sturgeon Spearing season can bring to the Lake Winnebago area!  Share stories of the season and celebrate with the honorees that speared the largest fish!  Great raffle prizes, award ceremony, food & beverages!  Tickets are always available at the State Bank - Stockbridge location.
