Welcome to the Village of Stockbridge, Wisconsin!

 

The Village of Stockbridge is located along the east shore of Lake Winnebago about 20 miles north of the City of Fond du Lac and 15 miles south of the City of Appleton.  While we are a small community, less than 700 residents, the Village has a lot to offer.

 

Consider the excellent public school system, stunning and pisturesque parks and recreation areas, a first rate Fire Department and First Responders Unit, and over 2.5 square miles of vacant developable land.

 

New marina facilities provide direct access to Lake Winnebago for fishing, boating, and other water related activities.  The Village recently completed a long range land use plan and zoning ordinance to accomodate new residential, commercial, and industrial development, all readily served with public sanitary sewerage and water supply facilities.

 

So if you are looking for a friendly, safe and affordable community to raise your family or start a new business venture, consider the Village of Stockbridge.

VILLAGE OFFICE HOURS

 

Monday - Thursday 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. (closed during lunch hour) all year long.

 

Exceptions due to offsite meetings, election related duties, trainings, illness or vacation will be noted on the front door & on voicemail.

 

If a resident or business owner would require a meeting at another time with the Clerk, outside of these posted hours, please call 439-1700 to schedule an appointment and that will be accommodated.

 

Please note that the Village Office will be closed June 15th – 17th and the week of July 23rd.

Reminder that parking citations will be issued on vehicles parked on Village Streets between the hours of 2:30 a.m. - 6:30 a.m. from November 15th through March 31st

If you are a Village water/sewer customer and wish to authorize the Village of Stockbridge Utility to automatically withdraw your utility bill from your checking your savings bank accounts, please print out a copy of the sign up form HERE.  Please complete and either drop off or mail to PO Box 205, Stockbridge WI 53088.

MAY

2ND - OPEN BOOK WITH THE PROPERTY TAX ASSESSOR

The Village contracts with Grota Appraisals to assess all Village properties.  If you have questions regarding how your property is assessed, come to the Open Book at the Village Office on May 2nd from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. to discuss.  Residents are seen on a first come, first served basis.  For more information, please see the Tax & Assessment tab on the Village website.

 

6TH - HAZARDOUS WASTE DISPOSAL

CITY OF CHILTON PUBLIC WORKS FACILITY, 9 - 11 A.M.

Appointments are required to participate.  For more info or to make an appointment go to http://calumet.uwex.edu anytime, and use the simple online registration form.  Otherwise, call Mary Kohrell at 849-1450 ext 3 during normal business hours from 8 - 4:30 p.m.

 

Hazardous wastes are products whose labels include words like caution, poison, combustible, danger, warning, flammable, or corrosive.  Hazardous wastes that can be brought to the disposal program include, but are not limited to, solvents, fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides, rodent baits, lead & oil based paints, kitchen and bathroom cleaners, bug sprays, old gasoline, transmission fluid and antifreeze.  Latex paint is not accepted.

 

7TH - VILLAGE LARGE ITEM DROP OFF (Non-Hazardous)

The Village is sponsoring a large item drop off in the parking lot south of the Fire Station on the 7th from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.  Be prepared to show ID to verify that you are a Village resident.

Reduce, reuse & recycle!  Promote green living by shopping at the Stockbridge Community Wide Rummage Sales! 

 

 

20 - 21st   STOCKBRIDGE SCHOOLS GARDEN CLUB

                    PLANT SALES

In conjunction with the Community Rummage Sales, the Stockbridge Schools Garden Club offers a great plant sale!  Hours are Friday from 1 p.m. - 6 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.

 

There are a variety of perennials or garden plants available to choose from.  The prices are very reasonable and often, transplanted plants are hardier than the store bought variety.  The plant sale takes place in front of the main gym, which is located on Military St./Hwy 55.  If you'd like to donate towards the plant sale, simply bring your divided or transplanted plants to school on the 20th.

 

 

23RD - BOARD OF REVIEW

The Board of Review would be for residents that attended the Open Book and still are not in agreement with the Assessor on their property tax assessment.  You much complete an OBJECTION FORM and submit to the Village Clerk 48 hours prior to the BOR. See the Tax & Assessment tab on the Village website for more information.

 

25TH - ELECTRONICS DISPOSAL - Sponsored by Calumet Cty

CITY OF CHILTON PUBLIC WORKS FACILITY, 2 - 6 P.M.

Waste electronics such as tvs, computers, VCRs and household applicances will be collected at a separate program.  No appointments are required for these events, and participants are likely to experience a wait in line.

Join us in Stockbridge to kick off the summer fun by supporting all the great fishermen & women as they register their catch of the day at the Stocbkridge Harbor.  After witnessing the weigh-ins, come on back to the Firemen Legion Park to enjoy great food, entertainment & celebrate with the award winners!
